Kabu is scoped out to be an international entertainment brand with a decentralized core. We aim to spread inclusivity, positivity, and community building. Kabu’s ethos revolves around a peaceful and free lifestyle aesthetic, which is why we chose the sunset themed setting to visually represent this. Although each of our characters have separate backgrounds and look different from each other, each thrives when together with everyone else. We wanted to thematically represent the world today with the one within Kabu. No matter who you are or where you come from, we share similar values of creating a peaceful and fun climate for everyone to live within..

Sols (Joe Compitello) and NFTGUYY (Josh Chapman) are the visionary founders of the Kabu brand, both bringing extensive marketing expertise from the realms of Web2 and Web3. Since transitioning to the crypto space in 2019, they have launched successful marketing firms, collaborating with major NFT and ICO projects during the initial NFT bull market. Drawing on their experience with numerous projects and brands, they aspired to create a brand that encapsulated the best aspects of their previous collaborations while introducing something unprecedented and necessary to the space.

The name Kabu translates to “cub” in Japanese. When creating Kabu back in 2022, we took inspiration from a multitude of anime and cartoons originating from Japan because of the positive and friendly cohesion the characters within their universe had with each other. We found the name Kabu to represent this vision and pay respect to Japanese creatives.
